Western Chassis Drop Spindles
Western Chassis was started upon the development of the first automotive drop spindle. In 1981, California’s Central Valley was a haven for lowered vehicles, especially lowered trucks. In order to achieve the lowered look, one would have to cut or heat the vehicle’s springs, which compromised ride quality. As a solution to poor ride issues, Western Chassis developed the first drop spindle for the 1955-1957 model Chevy passenger cars. This was quickly followed by the first drop spindle for 1970-1987 Chevy / GMC C10 Pickups. Western Chassis drop spindles have a reputation as being the strongest, most reliable, American made drop spindle.
